When one young woman had the courage to report her sexual assault, the flood gates opened and a budding serial rapist was identified. It is astounding how much damage can be caused by one so young, but how much more damage can be caused if not properly punished? While we can’t punish one for crimes they have not committed, we can and SHOULD punish them for the crimes they have committed. The question in this case remains: if the punishment doesn’t match the crime, will this be the last we hear about this young man? Or will his name appear in the headlines once again?
